Paediatric Trained Nurse Searching For New Nannying Position

My Experience

I recently commenced my role as a CAMHS mental health nurse, having been trained in paediatrics. However, I came to realize that the role didn’t provide the same sense of fulfillment and happiness that I experienced during my time as a nanny.

In the previous year, I spent 10 months working as a nanny/housekeeper with a wonderful family in West Hampstead. During this time, I cared for their 1-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter, implementing a Montessori approach to their upbringing. I have also gained international experience as an au pair in Italy (3 months) and Australia (10 months), where I provided care for two children aged 4-6.

My responsibilities in these roles included school pickups, organizing engaging activities, preparing nutritious meals, supporting schoolwork, running errands, laundry, cleaning, and arranging playdates. I aimed to make each day both educational and enjoyable for the children by introducing diverse experiences such as theatre performances, yoga, science experiments, library visits, and outings to museums and botanical gardens. As a creative individual, I encouraged the children to express themselves through activities like painting, crafting, and performance creation.

These experiences have not only helped me develop strong caregiving skills but also enabled me to immerse myself in different cultures, enhancing my ability to adapt and adjust to varied family dynamics. I take pride in working collaboratively with parents to establish routines and schedules that support the wellbeing and development of their children.

Over the years, I have cared for children ranging in age from newborn to 10 years old, with a particular focus on supporting a 3-year-old child with autism. This experience has honed my communication skills, including the use of Makaton, and has strengthened my ability to adapt my caregiving approach to meet the unique needs of each child.

I am confident that my diverse experience and adaptable approach will enable me to provide high-quality care and support for your child, fostering both their emotional and developmental growth.

My Qualifications

DBS checked and CPR trained through my nursing training. I graduated with a First Class Honours (BSc) degree in pediatric nursing. I have completed an online paediatric first aid training.

My Availability

I am free from the 8th April! I have decided to seek a temporary position (max 4 months) as I potentially moving to Brighton during summer.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
• Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)

£16 an hour
