My name is Naomi and my setting is called Sunflowers Childminding. I live with my husband, and our three young children, in a semi detached house in Freshbrook, West Swindon.
I offer a friendly, and caring, home from home setting for babies and younger children during the day, and wraparound care for children before and after preschool and school hours. My aim is for my setting to be a place where children feel loved, nurtured and secure in a safe, cosy and homely environment.
I am a calm and gentle person and always aim to understand behaviour from the child’s perspective. I also believe that boundaries are very important for the well-being of both the child and the adult.
We have a lovely enclosed garden, which my children love to play in, and a large conservatory with lots of natural light, which we use as the main playroom.
Within my setting there are plenty of opportunities for creative and imaginative indoor and outdoor play, which cover all of the learning development areas of the EYFS.
We enjoy the outdoors, nature and exploring and are within easy access of beautiful open spaces, woodland areas, farms and a variety of play parks.

My Experience
I am a qualified English teacher (since 2008) and I have worked in education, with children and teenagers, for over seventeen years.
I have also had experience working within an early years setting and, most importantly, raising my own three young children!
My Qualifications
BA (Hons) English degree.
Post Graduate Certificate of Education with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) 2008.
I have also completed the necessary training to become an Ofsted registered childminder (2023):
Level 3 Course - Common Core Compliant: Ofsted Recognised Childminder Introductory Training Course (caring for ages 0-12) comprising of 5 modules:

* Recording Children’s Development
* Safeguarding Children
* Developing Children’s Learning
* Leading and Managing a Childminding Setting
* Paediatric First Aid
* Food Hygiene Level 2 for early years settings

My Availability
*TERM TIME* (38-39 weeks per year)
Mondays-Thursdays: 8.00am-5.30pm.
Day care for 0-4 year olds.
*Current vacancies on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings only (8am-12.30pm)*
**Wraparound spaces available from Millbrook Primary School and Caterpillar Pre-School**

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.20 per hour
I charge £5.20 for any hours required outside of the funded hours.
For wraparound sessions I have a minimum fee per session.
