About Me
My previous career was in advertising as an advertising producer working with global brands. I lived and worked in many countries (Africa, America, South America, Holland, Spain, Portugal, Denmark to name a few) I have excellent leadership and organisational skills as well as managing team members to excel and encouraging creative working environments. I am passionate, self-motivated, proactive and fun. I love to think outside of the box and implement creativity into everything I do. I am calm, caring and understanding.
I changed career 6 years ago to work with children as children are the future and I wanted to be part of something where I can help shape lives for people who need support. Life can be difficult and it's my job to help and support little ones and their families navigate through in the best way possible.
I specialise working with SEND children as a caseworker, learning support assistant, play worker, counsellor with children between the age of 4 and 19- verbal, non verbal, epilepsy, downs syndrome, cerebral palsy, global delay, Autism across the spectrum, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia etc. I am a believer that each child is unique and has their own unique experience, therefore one size does not fit all. I am PEG trained and can work with some medical procedures.
My Experience
I am currently half way through a masters degree in child and adolescent psychotherapy. I have diplomas in Equine therapy (horse assisted) Gestalt Therapy, Child counselling. I have 150 hours of clinical child counselling work with children between the ages of 4 and 18 and 50 hours of supervision so far for my studies. I have been working as a 1:1 teaching assistant and mental health assistant in early years and primary schools for the past 5 years. I have been a child carer in SEND children's homes and non SEND children's homes. I am currently working part time as a SEND play coordinator for Harlow Council.
I draw heavily on Piaget and Erikson's developmental theory as well as Bowlby's attachment theory in my work as well as Play therapy. I work with sand tray, puppet play, sensory play and all kinds of art as part of learning and development.
My Qualifications
Currently finishing a masters degree in child & adolescent psychotherapy with Terapia and Middlesex university.
IFEEL - Diploma in Equine assisted therapy (adult & child)
Gestalt centre London - Diploma in Gestalt Therapy Theory (adult)
Place-to-be - Certificate in counselling with children level 2 (children)

My Availability
I am currently at college one evening per week and I work 2 days per week in placements (as a trainee therapist in schools) During the week I am mostly available after school / evenings. Friday is the only day currently I am free all day. I can work weekends.

- Nannying from £17.00 per hour (net)
My fee reflects the the fact I am bringing multiple skills to my work, not only nannying / care work, but learning & development as well as various therapeutic approaches.
