About Me
My name is Louise I am a Ofsted registered childminder. I have been childminding for 28 years now and I still love it from the first day I decided to become a childcare professional. I live with my son who is now 18 and is still in full time education attending college. I have two older children a son who is 28 and daughter that is 25 they both have their own children so I am a very proud to be a nanny of 3 grandchildren so in my spare time I enjoy spending time with these little monkey's. I have worked in childcare form many years now in a pre-school, nursery or childminding I still really love being around babies/children and I find it most rewarding, watching them thrive and grow ready and helping them to develop to move onto a new chapter in their life. In my spare time I enjoy time with my family and friends making new memories and of course sharing old ones. I enjoy walking, running and like to do home baking when I have the time.
My Experience
I have 28 years of experience as a childminder, and a mother of 3 children of my own. I have worked in childcare form many years now in a pre-school, nursery or childminding I still really love being around babies/children and I find it most rewarding, watching them thrive and grow ready and helping them to develop to move onto a new chapter in their life. Over the years I have done some fostering for a newborn baby social services, and worked for taunton county council as a 'Community Lead Childminder' supporting colleagues, implementing meetings and putting in place training. I have also had the pleasure to be involved in the launch of a After school club and then I was awarded the role of Supervisor, this involved the everyday running and setting up, workshops and activities for the children to enjoy to run alongside a childcare setting. I have worked in many pre-schools as well throughout the years gaining many qualifications along the way, for example, N V Q 3 In early years and education, Every child's a talker(ECAT project). I have experience working with children/adults with additional needs and disabilities have achieved a qualification in level two in understanding Autism, and Somerset total communication module early years (STC). I am always very keen to update my training by attend online corses or face to face so I can keep up to date with any new changes with in my profession.
