My Summary

My Experience

As part of my studies for my Level 3 Early Years qualification, I spent time in a nursery as a hands-on introduction to safeguarding and caring for children between the ages of 6 months and 4 years old. Alongside that, I developed a deep understanding of the EYFS and how to support children’s development and learning. During the summer of 2022, I worked at a day camp in the USA, where I cared for children between the ages of 3 and 12, planned activities for them based on their interests, and supported them in boosting their confidence and social skills in new situations. Since January of 2023, I have been working in a private early years setting with children between the ages of 6 months and 5 years. As part of my role, I plan individual and group activities for children based on their development, individual needs and interests and support them in personal hygiene routines with nappy changes, potty training, and washing hands before and after meals. I work closely with the families of the setting to ensure their child’s learning is being supported and continued both at home and in the setting, as well as helping them with any transitions they may be going through, such as a new baby in the family.
