My Summary
About Me
An emotionally intelligent, warm, gentle and empathetic nurturer who is a devout believer in positive reinforcement, the importance of boundaries (but also, knowing when to pick your battle), and the tactful, well-considered use of humour. I have a natural affinity with children and hold space and empathy for a child’s every emotion and need, providing guidance, patience, understanding and nurture when adversity hits. I build trust with children by creating a mutually respectful relationship; to be seen and listened to is the first step of empowering children to become independent, self-loving individuals who can display empathy to others.
My Experience
**OFSTED REIGSTERED**
I've worked with a wide range of needs in both the home, in a Residential Community setting, in education and the running of an after-school club; I have mostly specialised in working with children with additional needs; ASD, ADHD, Trauma, BPD, various learning disabilities and developmental delays; I use a person-centred, trauma-informed approach.
I'm a Nanny who holds pride in her observational and instinctive abilities that in turn aid nurturing a child’s individual special qualities that help concrete who they are in the world they are discovering and learning to engage with. Due to my varied experience I can provide a daily routine that encompasses emotional support and guidance, tutoring (has experience and resources for Reception and Primary School aged children) creative play and activities along with plenty of outdoor stimulation.
Most recent role being a full time Nanny with a beautiful household of 9 children (aged 5 months to 12 years old) and many members on the neurodiverse spectrum. I have excellent references from this family.
Previously I was an After School Club supervisor and SEN 1:1 and general Teaching Assistant for children between 4 – 11 at a Primary School.

We worked with Chantal short term to cover some childcare during early pregnancy before our son could have an extra day at nursery.
From the first messages we knew Chantal would be a great fit for our family. We then arranged a video call and were really pleased with her manner and experience.
Although we only had two days with Chantal, our son really took to her, which isn’t usually easy as he can be a tentative soul. She took him out to a music class, to the cafe, to the park and played with him at home. We were really impressed with her skills and would work with her again in a heartbeat! Her passion for children really shines through.
Thank you Chantal!
