About Me
As a fully registered childminder with the Care Inspectorate and a member of the Scottish Childminding Association, I am dedicated to providing exceptional childcare services. I have a two-year-old daughter of my own so your child will have a playmate for a day filled with fun and laughter.
Safety is paramount in every aspect of my childcare services. My premises are optimally designed for children's safety. With minimal furniture and ample space, children have plenty of room to move around freely. The premises are equipped with age-appropriate toys and equipment to foster a stimulating environment.
The main room used for childcare services is well-lit with natural light, creating a bright and inviting space for play and learning. Additionally, my home is conveniently located within walking distance of several parks and playgrounds, providing opportunities for outdoor exploration and exercise.
My training includes Baby and Child First Aid training, Child Protection in Childminding Setting, Food Hygiene and Safety for Childminders, and Childminding Induction Support Programme.
With a strong focus on safety, fun, and learning, I am committed to providing a nurturing environment where children can thrive and reach their full potential.

Val is fully invested in learning the needs and likes of the children in her care. I can see how well she knows my daughter and notices the subtle changes in her. She is nurturing, knowledgeable and kind.

Our daughter Olivia, who at the time was 15 months old, attended Val’s for a couple of months before she started nursery. We absolutely love Val, and Olivia was the happiest little baby in her care. What's more, Olivia and Val's daughter became little besties, and you could see genuine excitement on our daughter's face when we dropped her off in the mornings.
Val’s place is fully equipped to look after younger children. Val's living room has a variety of education toys as well as kids table and chairs for arts and crafts activities. She would also take them out daily to different parks including Victoria Park and Leith Links. On Mondays Val took the kids to dancing classes which our daughter loved.
I cannot express enough how grateful we are to have found Val as she provided an amazing care for our little one. We would constantly get photo and video updates during the day and detailed reports in the evening. Olivia made so much progress in her development and expanded her vocabulary whilst at Val's.
If we lived closer to Val, we would have absolutely loved to continue our daughter’s placement there. I hope we stay in touch and see each other at play groups.
