Hello there, my name is Mia! I've just moved from California to Glasgow, where I'll study English Literature and History at the University of Glasgow. I recently graduated from a prestigious arts high school in Los Angeles where I was a part of a creative writing conservatory for four years. I'm thrilled to be in Scotland where an incredible culture and history surrounds me.
My Experience
I was raised in a large family and oftentimes spent my weekends and holidays looking after my siblings, cousins, and neighbors. I worked for two years at Legoland California where I worked with children every single day, providing safe and memorable experiences for each of them. I added to the teaching of robotics classes and helped direct field trips to the park. Additionally, I just left my position as a teacher/sous chef at Sur La Table (similar to William Sonoma) where I taught three cooking classes each day to children aged 7-11.
My Qualifications
Tutoring in French, history, English, literature, and maths, CPR certified, ability to work with special needs, cooking and cleaning.
My Availability
Friday afternoons through Monday I'm fully available, Tuesday and Thursday evenings and overnights I'm available.
