My Experience
I spent this summer working as a camp counsellor in America. This involved leading and supervising activities to groups up to 35 kids. Alongside leading activities I lived in a cabin with 13 campers aged 10-11. Being seen as a mentor to my cabin required patience and organisation but also creating a positive environment to ensure the children had the best summer possible. Most of my evenings were spent playing games in the field, making friendship bracelets and having dance parties. I received recognition from camp management for having a positive impact on camper’s experience and won an award for this.
My Qualifications
I have spent my summer working at an overnight summer camp in America. Caring for up to 15 children at a time.
