My Summary

My Experience

As a teenager, I began helping in Sunday schools at church, working with a range of ages, and babysitting. In my gap year, I spent three months working at a children's and youth centre in Bangkok. In this voluntary role, I would help run the children's and youth clubs, and support the children and young people and their families in different ways. Additionally, I have been volunteering as a children's and youth leader at the Keswick Convention for a number of years, leading groups of young people, and supporting children with additional needs. I also help out in the youth group at my church in Edinburgh.

As part of my music therapy course, I spent several months working in a primary school, facilitating group and individual music therapy. Many of the children with whom I worked had an autism diagnosis, and I learned about connecting with each individual through music.

As well as gaining paid experience babysitting, I also worked as a part-time nanny for a year, for two-year-old twins.

My Qualifications

Although I do not have a qualification for nannying, I have a lot of previous experience working with children and young people. I also have a Music BA and a Music Therapy MSc. The Music Therapy course, gave me invaluable experience and skills for working with children and individuals with additional needs.

My Availability

I am awaiting beginning another job, and believe I will be available to nanny on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, although should you be interested in my services, I can confirm my availability with you.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

I am hoping to charge £12 an hour for this nannying role.
