My Experience

I am a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner with over three and a half years of hands-on experience at the Owl and Pussycat Nursery, where I supported the development and well-being of children in a nurturing and stimulating environment. Through this role, I gained valuable skills in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities aligned with the Curriculum for Excellence (CFE), supporting children's social, emotional, and cognitive development. Alongside this, I have volunteered for several years with 1st Irvine Boys’ Brigade, working with boys aged 5 to 16 years old. This experience has strengthened my communication and leadership skills, as well as my ability to manage a range of behaviours and adapt activities to suit different age groups and abilities. This role has also deepened my understanding of child development beyond the early years setting and reinforced the importance of being a positive role model. I am Currently studying Primary Education at university, where I continue to build on my knowledge of pedagogy, child development and inclusive teaching practices. Through these combined experiences, I have developed excellent interpersonal skills, patience, creativity, and a strong sense of responsibility. I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment where every child is encouraged to thrive and I would be excited to bring my skills, enthusiasm, and dedication to your team as I continue supporting children during the most crucial stages of their development.
