About Me
My name is Katie, in 25, and I work in an outdoor nursery. I have worked with children under 5 for 10 years and have a passion for supporting and nurturing children. I understand that parents/carers need help, time or a rest from the hard full-time job of caring for young children and I am avaliable to help the best I can.
I have experience working in both indoor and outdoor nurseries and have forest school experience (5 years - but not forest school trained). I was the Deputy Manager and deputy SENDCo in my previous job.
Ideally, I would like to have a short meeting with you and your child/children before care commences, so that I can meet them and they can become comfortable with me in the comfort of their carers, we can discuss anything I need to know about your family or children.
I am fully dbs checked and trained in paediatric first aid and food hygiene.
My Experience
I am currently working as an outdoor educator in a montessori forest school nursery.
I was previously working at a forest school nursery for 5 years.
Although I do not have children of my own, I have taken an active role in supporting and caring for children within my family and through my profession.
My Qualifications
I have a level 5 qualifications as an early years lead educator, a level 3 qualification in early years education, a level 3 extended diploma in applied science, 7 gcse b-c.
I am first aid trained, trained in working with children with ASD, food hygiene and more.
My Availability
I work 4 days a week year round. My day off can vary, but I will know my day off 2 weeks ahead.
Unfortunately, I will not currently be available during school holidays or evenings after work.
However, I am avaliable on weekends and on my day off work during the day time, evening or night.
I will need to be able to commute to your house via foot, bicycle or public transport as I do not drive.
