My Summary

My Experience

I have previously worked part-time for just over a year at a nursery with babies and little ones aged 3 months to 5 years old. During my time here I completed 8 childcare courses at Level 2. I worked full-time as a year 2 teaching assistant for 4 months as agency staff. Here, I planned and lead 1:1 English as an Additional Language sessions, 1:1 reading and small group maths and phonics interventions for reception, year 1 and year 2. I also covered full days, afternoons and lessons teaching English, maths, handwriting, R.E and D.T as well as undertaking playground and lunchtime duties. Most recently I nannied for two boys aged 9 and 11, doing after school pick-up, activities, homework and cooking fresh homemade dinners every night for the family aswell as the weekly food shop. I have also had other jobs in retail and hospitality.

My Qualifications

I have 9 GCSE's at grades A*-C including English and Maths and completed extra-curricular qualifications such as Sports Leadership Level 1 and 2 and ABRSM Piano Exams Grades 1, 2 & 3 alongside this I studied Art and Photography at A-Level receiving grades A and C. I have also completed a Foundation diploma in Art and Design and completed Level 4 of a Fashion Design BA Degree. In addition to my education, I have completed courses in: Food Allergy and Intolerance Training, Virtual College/Home Office Online Safeguarding Training for Female Genital Mutilation (Recognising and Preventing FGM V4), Edu Care Certificates in Understanding and Addressing Behaviour in the Early Years, Effective Safeguarding Practice Level 2, The Prevent Duty in an Early Years Environment Level 2, Sustained Shared Thinking in the Early Years Level 2, Equality and Inclusion in Early Years Settings Level 2, Improving Children’s Learning Through Play Level 2 and Supporting Early Language Development Level 2.
