About Me
We are a multi-cultural family with Indian, South African and Scottish elements. I grew up on the west coast of Scotland and my husband is Indian. We’ve both lived and worked in Edinburgh for over 11 years and our daughter is 24 months old. We love the outdoors, nature, wildlife, travelling and usually have a cat (but not right at the moment).
My Requirements
We are looking for a permanent part-time Nanny to work 1.5 days a week. The hours are 8am-6pm on a Thursday and 12-6pm on a Friday. Sometimes we would be able to offer extra hours to do a full day starting at 8am on a Friday.
The main daily tasks are very standard for a just-turned two year old, and range from preparing and clearing up three meals a day, a daily nap after lunch, outings to the park/soft play/museum, or playgroups etc. Going on walks/scoots. Or overseeing playtimes at home/ garden plus light housework such as laundry and some grocery shopping.
We both work from home quite a bit so are on hand to answer questions etc. The role requires some flexibility because my husband and I are sometimes at home and we value being able to interact with our daughter from time to time when we can fit it around our other commitments. So it is not purely a sole charge role, but this appeals to some people we've employed previously as it's more sociable and interactive with us being around.
