My Summary

My Experience

As mentioned above, I am a part-time tutor who helps students across school subjects such as English Literature and Spanish. I also have experience of looking after my younger cousins (ages 7 and 10 currently) who love making up games for me to play with them, and I'll happily go along with them! I am gentle and value educating children about emotional intellect, empathy and other important social cues, but can also be firm and set boundaries if needed.

I was fortunate to be selected to partake in a cultural tour of China in October 2017 with my High School, where I visited Beijing and Xi’an which included amongst many things, climbing The Great Wall, a visit to the Summer Palace and The Terracotta Army. In addition, the second half of my trip involved cycling in rural China as well as a chance to try my hand at Chinese cookery.

Whilst in Year 12, I was offered to the opportunity to participate in the Cambridge-run HE+ scheme, which provided lectures on an abundance of subject matter. I successfully applied, and thus, I selected Ancient Greek as my area of interest. These lectures have embellished my understanding and ability of translation and the intricacy of the Greek language and grammar, as well as the ideas of patricide and female superiority in Greek society through the conveyance of women in Greek mythology.

During my time at Hanley Castle Sixth Form, I completed my Bronze Award for volunteering (25 hours), doing most of these sessions in Spanish lessons, which has improved both my confidence and leadership in giving verbal feedback and constructive criticism.

In my second year of university, I participated in the PAL scheme for language students to act as mentors for those entering the university, where I advised and assisted those who had any questions or worries about their course and subsequent progress.

My Availability

I am starting a part-time position in Malvern from the 1st July 2024, so I am looking for a job that is local and provides hours that work around my primary job. I will most likely have availability in the later afternoon (after school-time finishes) and will be free into the evenings. I am also available to work weekends too if needed.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.42 per hour

I am more than happy to discuss fee rate with the client as I understand that each family is in a different position financially.
