My Experience
I’ve gained extensive childcare experience with children of various ages and in different settings. For example: I provided care for a young child from age 2 to 3, typically spending 6-10 hours a week with them. My responsibilities included preparing meals, cleaning, managing bath time, and following their sleep schedule to ensure their well-being. Additionally, I occasionally look after my sister’s 2-year-old goddaughter, engaging in activities such as imaginative play, cooking, outdoor adventures, and movie nights—she’s particularly fond of watching Shrek. We typically spend around six hours together on weekends, which also includes bedtime routines. While initially attached to her mother, she eventually settles in. Furthermore, I’ve cared for another young child from age 6 months to 3 years, providing overnight stays when necessary. I handled bottle feedings, snacks, and meals, which were often prepared in advance. On Sundays, I volunteer at my church’s nursery, spending about an hour with toddlers aged 1-3. Our activities include singing, dancing, and other playful interactions, ensuring the children are comfortable, fed, and attended to as needed.
