About Me
I am a warm, caring and very patient individual who has grew up in a big and loving family around lots of children., that i have babysat throughout my teenage years. I currently have a 2 year old nephew who I spend a huge amount of time with and looking after. As well as my nephew i have two lovely goddaughters ages 3 and 10 months which I also look after regularly and spend a lot of time with during my spare time doing things like going to parks and play centres. I am a loyal and dependable individual that loves spending time with and taking care of young people of all different ages and backgrounds. I always maintain a positive attitude and mindset and put maximum effort and care into any job role i take on. Working with children is a true passion of mine and I enjoy working closely with parents and families to build and maintain relationships to benefit the child/children in my care and support them mentally and physically and contribute to their personal development. I am a quick learner and I am able to use my own initiative as well as having a goof imagination which helps when looking after a young child, I am constantly thinking of new fun things to do to keep them stimulated and happy and of course mainly ensuring their safety at all times. I am confident and reliable and a very trustworthy and honest young lady with good morals and respect. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with loved ones, reading, going for walks and swimming.
My Experience
I have experience working with children and babies in both a personal and working setting. As mentioned I have a nephew and goddaughters that I spend a lot of time with and I have also worked in a nursery. I worked at Children 4 Most for just under a year as a trainee nursery nurse studying level 2 in Childcare. My main duties and responsibilities was the following:
- Maintaining a safe and clean environment for all children
- Taking part in daily risk assessment
- Supporting children during free play time
- Planning and creating activities
- Helping to prepare and serve meals
- Nappy changing and toilet training
- Observing child personal development
- General cleaning (sweeping, mopping and hoovering)
-Assisting children with extra/special needs
- Keeping outdoor and indoor area tidy and safe
- Plan and supervise activity such as arts and crafts, music and cooking
- Report any accidents using correct forms and on time
- Working closely with parents and families
My time at the nursery was one of the most rewarding and enjoyable job roles i have done and i loved the fact that not one day was ever the same. I worked alongside other staff members both trainees and fully qualified and learnt lots of new skills from them which are shown in my CV. This role required me to work with all different ages of children from babies to preschoolers as well as children with additional needs. I worked alongside SENCO workers and have some experience working with children that may need extra support or have certain medical needs.
My Qualifications
In high school i achieved a total of six GCSE'S which include: English Language and literature, maths, business studies, dance and level 2 travel and tourism.
I then went to college and completed my level 3 diploma in travel and tourism.
I also achieved my level 2 in childcare working at Children 4 Most.
My Availability
I am very flexible and available for mornings, afternoons and nights including overnight stays if needed.
