About Me
Hello, I am a native English speaker from England. I follow the National Curriculum, concentrating on areas which need improvement or confidence-building. Where English is not the first or only language, I use my vast experience of EAL/ESOL, to allow the pupil to gain confidence and improve phonics and spelling skills, writing talents, comprehension abilities, and the use of grammar within the curriculum.
Experienced English language teacher for primary school children both following the National Curriculum and English as a second or other language.
I carefully adapt the lesson to the needs of the pupil taking many factors into consideration to deliver an uniquely interesting and successful lesson each and every time.
My Experience
I have been teaching within pupils’ own homes for seven years in Cambridge and previously, two years in Spain. Prior to that a was a private tutor in England.
I have a lot of experience with KS1 and KS2 and have been helping students with their KS3 English language and English comprehension.
Many of my students do not have English as their first language; therefore, build their confidence in speaking, reading, writing, listening, and spelling.
I am patient, kind and understanding. My goal is to help the child improve and to build their confidence.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £30.00 per hour
The fees are negotiable depending on what is expected in the lesson. The more specialised lessons are at the higher price. Just conversation and homework help, are usually lower.

Emma is a nice, lovely and highly experienced teacher. She is doing hard work with my son. I was struggling with my son for phonics and holding a pen. Emma makes it very easy for me. She gives me idea how I can do better with him.

Thank you, Tasnia. Your son is very keen to copy what we say and do, and it is great to see the family all working together.
Emma is amazing! She comes armed every week with lots of books, cards, and engaging activities/games to capture the attention of the boys (aged 4/7), encouraging them to read and write independently. My boys both love spending time with her, and gain so much from her patient and positive attitude.
