My Summary

My Experience

I have three children and three beautiful grandchildren. I have been a nanny for 15 years, working with 8 families. I am collecting children from Henry Maynard Primary School providing after-school care. I’m currently working as a Midday Assistant at Mission Grove Primary School. I'm looking for another family as my current family circumstances have changed.

Here is a little about my after school routine:

My day starts at 3 PM picking up the children from school, we head to the park for a quick play. After we have had fun in the park we head back to the children’s home, after washing our hands the children play whilst I cook their dinner. At dinner time I sit with the children talking about their day or other subjects that pop up in conversation. After dinner I tidy up, washing up all the plates, pans, trays and cutlery. The children then go upstairs to have a bath or shower which I assist with. They then get ready for bed, once the children are in their PJs we settle down reading stories. The children's parents come home at 7, I give them an update on how the children have been or any information I need to pass on from school. I then say goodbye to the children and parents and head home.

Here is a little bit about how I interact with the children in my care:
I give children lots of cuddles and comfort when they need/want it. I build strong bonds with the children I look after, by playing with them and taking an interest in what they like. I play fun games such as Double, I Spy, catch and Association games and many more. I let the children have free choice on what they want to play with and play with them, for example, lego and play dough. I encourage the children to keep their environment tidy by limiting how many toys they get out at once and encouraging them to tidy up when they have finished playing.

Why I love working with kids
I enjoy building bonds with the children I work with, feeling like I’m a part of their family. Children bring me joy as they are funny, cheeky and imaginative. I love that every day is different and they always put a smile on my face.

My Qualifications

I do not uphold any childcare Qualifications, but I have a lot of experience in looking after children and meeting their needs.

My Availability

I am available Monday-Friday.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Nannying from £15.00 per hour (gross)
