About Me
I have worked with children and carried out many placements in a variety of settings for over 18 years now. These have included schools as both a Teaching Assistant and Teacher, Nurseries, Creches, An Early Intervention Centre, Family Centre and Health Centre. I have lived in Stewkley for 9 years and live with my husband and three children. My two eldest children attend the local school and I have my one year old daughter at home with me during the day. I love spending time with my family, especially travelling and seeing new places when we can.
My Experience
I have a degree in early childhood studies and qualified as a teacher 9 years ago. Since then I have taught in both Nursery and Reception classes. I love working with children and have recently decided to leave teaching and register as a childminder. This means I am now able to set up a nurturing environment in our home with the expertise and stimulation of an Early Years Teacher.
My Qualifications
I have a BA hons in Early Childhood Studies
I have a QTS, with all of my experience being in the EYFS and Key stage one.
I have recently completed my Paediatric first aid, Safeguarding and Food hygiene.
I have also previously completed training in Lift off to language (Early communication and talking) and Makaton (sign language)
