About Me
I am a Bristolian studying Biomedical Science in Sheffield, with the aim to go into paediatrics. Unfortunately, my parents were not able to have more children after me and this void of not having younger siblings has made me search for work with children, because I so desperately wanted brothers/sisters.
From 13, I have been babysitting/tutoring children in my local area and have spent the last year working as a teaching assitant in an SEN secondary school which I find hugely rewarding and interesting.
My Experience
Babysitting (within the family) - I am the oldest of all my cousins and have looked after them for the past 6 years; sometimes 3 at once.
Babysitting (outside the family) - I have been babysitting for people over the past 6 years. Looking after children ranging from 4-11, including cooking for them, bathing them, entertaining them and putting them to sleep.
Teaching assistant- I spent over a year working as a TA at a SEN secondary school, doing a variety of things from education based activities to feeding and changing them.
Tutor- I have experience tutoring GCSE Maths to 15/16 year olds.
Volunteer work with children - I volunteered loooking after a child with severe Down syndrome for a year. Which included entertaining them, keeping them safe and feeding them.
