About Me

I am a young solo mum to an adorable, mischievous toddler. We live in an intergenerational household - myself, my little one, and my parents. I’m a Psychology graduate who took some time off after university to focus on motherhood. I’m passionate about mental health and wellbeing, particularly amongst neurodivergent people. My ultimate career goal is to work in a psychological profession. My parents are both busy NHS consultant doctors who work full time. They sometimes work from home, but mainly work on-site.

I’ll be beginning full time work soon, also within the NHS, and our family have some unique childcare needs which I’ll explain below.

My Requirements

Babysitter
Live Out Nanny
After School Nanny
Part Time Nanny
Bedtime Nanny

Our situation:
We have a family friend who currently helps with childcare on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 8:30am-4pm. She will be helping out on these days until our nursery has full-time availability. My little one attends a lovely local nursery on Wednesdays and Fridays, 8:30am-6pm.

Due to the nature of my new job, I will be working shifts, and will be home at 10pm most nights. My parents both work full time as senior consultant doctors. They often come home 5:30-6pm, and are understandably too tired and busy to help out with my toddler.

Therefore, we need a regular babysitter/bedtime nanny to watch my little one on days I’ll be working late shifts.

This will be 6pm-8pm (earlier finish if little one is asleep before 8) on Wednesdays and Fridays, and ideally 4-8pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays (start time can be a bit flexible for non-nursery days if this is difficult).

Duties will include:
1) Picking my child up from nursery (my parents will try to do this most days, so this would be if they’re stuck in traffic)
2) Giving a snack (Only if hungry - something light and simple, such as fruit and yoghurt)
3) Engaging in play (depending on timing/tiredness etc on nursery days) - Ideally no screen-time, as I am actively trying to reduce this.
4) Dinner (will be pre-prepared, you won’t have to make any food)
5) Bath
6) Bedtime

This is just an example - current bedtime is variable, but on nursery days my little one does sleep at around 8pm. Trying to make this a regular thing, so routine is subject to change. For example, I’m currently phasing out the post-nursery snack and giving an early dinner, so you’ll most likely be feeding only one meal on nursery days.

NB: I take my little one’s privacy very seriously, so absolutely no identifiable photos are to be taken.
