About Me
Hello! I am a new mum (29 years old). My partner works full time and I am currently on maternity leave. We don’t live close to many family members which makes childcare challenging. It’s still early days but I am considering options for extra help to allow me and my partner to have a couple of hours to ourselves as a couple, and perhaps time to help me balance household chores, and making time for myself too.
Before becoming a mum I was very active, loved exercise and the gym and was completing my doctorate. Me and my partner loved going to see live music, enjoying nice restaurants, and travel. Obviously life has changed a lot lately but I I would like to explore ways of getting more support.
My Requirements
We have a 9 month old baby. I am just exploring what extra support could look like at the moment as we have never left her with anyone. We don’t have much family close by so it’s difficult to ask for help. It is likely we would just be looking for help on an ad hoc basis at the moment to see how it feels. Perhaps a couple of hours of baby sitting here or there to allow us time together as a couple, or if I have things I want/need to get done some weeks without a baby attached to me!
