My Summary
Primary Teacher (Specialising In Literacy) And Learning Mentor For Children With Additional Needs
About Me
I am a qualified teacher, specialising in literacy, and a wellbeing mentor for primary children with additional needs. I have been privileged to work with children with autism, ADHD, who lack confidence or experience anxiety.
I have specialised in school-based literacy and phonics interventions, worked as a school learning mentor, and am a children’s mindfulness teacher. I have wide experience supporting independent learning, communication and social skills, sensory needs and emotional regulation.
I find incredible joy in building safe, warm, trusting relationships. I believe that every child deserves a foundation of self-esteem in place to support academic progression, to find the fun in learning, to have every small achievement celebrated and to have a focus on their unique needs, interests and learning styles. All my sessions are based on initial and ongoing assessment, specific learning outcomes, and extensive planning, preparation and reflection.
I am calm, nurturing, dedicated, playful and creative, and I bring my best to every child.
Enhanced DBS certificate available online and certificates available on request.
