Hi, my name is Amber! I am 19 years old and currently studying my bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from home! I love all things creative, including arts and crafts, drawing, painting, writing, reading, cooking, baking, playing games etc.
Unfortunately, I had to take a long break from working due to poor health with chronic illness, which meant I had to leave my job at a Montessori nursery. As I am now completing my degree, I don’t have the time for full time work, but I am available for ad-hoc or part time babysitting that isn’t too far from home.
I have been driving for over two years, however due to the long waiting lists, I haven’t yet had a driving test. Therefore, I can’t do school drop off or pick up by car, however walking is fine.
My Experience
I worked at a lovely little Montessori nursery with children ranging from 6 months to 4 years old and I adored my job before I had to take extended time off. Through my job I underwent a full DBS check and it presented my clean record: the paperwork clarifying this can be shown. I know the basics of first aid through my CD course and through my mother’s old files (she was a childminder for many years) however I am looking into undertaking a formal first aid training course.
My Qualifications
I studied Child Development as a GCSE and received a Distinction* (A*) alongside receiving high grades for all my core subjects in GCSE and A-Levels, making me a helpful addition even at homework time.
My Availability
Due to my fluctuating health and studying for my degree, full time work and full days are out of the question. I am available for part time (a few hours a day), ad-hoc, emergency babysitting, tutoring, etc. It will be difficult to do mornings until I have my driving license, so after school/evening or mid-day would be best. I can work the occasional night if needed.
