About Me
Welcome to Treetops!
My name is Emily. I live with my husband Edward, our two children and two small dogs. Our happy home is on a quiet lane that leads to a public footpath with lots of beautiful countryside and woodland to explore. We have a dedicated playroom and a large garden for your child to enjoy. Our typical day will be a balance of indoor and outdoor play based learning, with plenty of opportunities for visits to local parks, woodlands, the local library and toddler groups. Each half term will be planned around a topic with activities that offer learning across all areas of the EYFS and include a fun day out to provide plenty of first hand learning.
I have over 20 years experience as an early years teacher and also 11 years as a mummy. I am registered with a childminding agency who have provided further training to support me in my role as a childminder. They offer ongoing CPD to ensure that I will be able to provide the best learning experiences and a safe environment for your child. An app is available which shares the activities and learning that your child takes part in on a daily basis. You are able to comment and engage with our adventures which is a great way of working in partnership together.
It is important that you find the right setting for your child and I appreciate that this process can be a daunting experience. You are very welcome to visit our home first and I provide settling in sessions that allow both you and your child to get to know me, our home and the types of activities that will be on offer.
I hope to provide a caring home away from home setting with plenty to engage and excite your little one. I am thrilled to be starting my childminding business and have the opportunity to offer a happy, safe and fun start for your child.
I have spaces available from the beginning of September 2024.
