About Me
I'm from Cambridge, and I've just graduated from the University of Bristol, where I studied BSc Childhood Studies, which brings together all the areas of study that have involved themselves in making sense of childhood (historical, social, political, biological, psychological, etc.) I am particularly interested in going into the field of teaching, social work, or working with children with special needs, as working with young people and children has always been a strength of mine. I'm also very passionate about music and sports, and I take every opportunity to share that enthusiasm when I work with children!
My Experience
I have worked as a teaching assistant at The Pathfinder C of E Primary School; I offered one to one support for children with learning and behavioural difficulties, leading educational activities outside the classroom, and assisting children with their in-class work and engaging in sensory activities. I have been a regular babysitter for around 7 years in my local village, caring for numerous families with children aged 1 to 14 years old. Additionally, I worked as a part-time nanny for two girls, aged 4 and 7, which entailed tasks such as picking them up from after-school activities, preparing meals, and assisting with homework. Upon relocating to Bristol, I had the privilege of being a caregiver to a 6-month-old infant for a span of three months. This role encompassed activities like attending sensory classes with the baby, feeding, ensuring she took her scheduled naps, and engaging in plenty of playtime!
My Qualifications
I have a degree in Childhood Studies BSc at the University of Bristol. I also have an enhanced DBS check, and have completed a Paediatric First Aid course via the nannying agency I previously worked for in Bristol.
My Availability
I have recently moved so I am very available! I am looking for long-term work, and I am free most days in the week!
