About Me
I'm Abi, a certified childminder who enjoys working with children from infancy to adolescence. I’m an OFSTED registered childminder in Leeds working from my home in LS11. I live with my two kids age (12) and (11). I have twelve years of experience caring for children as a mother who loves and understands them. I do provide the kids with a comfortable, homey space to play in while they study.
I believe all children are wonderful in their own special way, and I want to make sure that every kid in my care has what they need to achieve a healthy and great development—physically, cognitively, emotionally, socially, and academically.
My goal is to give the kids in my care a safe, comfortable home away from home and to introduce them to the lively, educational environment that I enjoy every day with my own family.
The children may have a lot of fun and engaging activities in my warm, well-kept, and organized home. I plan to schedule frequent visits to the neighborhood library, playgroups, park walks, and soft play areas. Through a variety of play and learning activities, I assist children's growth and get them ready for school.
My intention is to provide a core service that involves close collaboration with parents. since a parent is the most significant person in a child's life. In order to support parents in raising their children, I will provide a variety of learning opportunities both within and outside the home, push your child toward independence as they develop, and always be there to comfort them when they need it.

My Experience
I have experience raising my own children and working as a support worker at a special needs home. My experiences have helped me to have some understanding of the requirements for offering high-quality care services.
In addition, I think of myself as a very patient, passionate, loving, and caring individual who enjoys spending time with and caring for children. Since I'm a physically fit and active person, it would be beneficial for me to provide kids with a stimulating environment and a variety of entertaining and educational activities.
My Qualifications
I successfully completed the induction course in childminding offered by Learn Direct and approved by Ofsted as part of my pre-registration training. A wide range of topics was covered in the course, such as behaviors management, child learning development, health and safety, safeguarding, and child protection. Additionally, I currently hold a certificate in first aid for infants and young children. When training workshops are offered by the Early Years Team, I take full advantage of them. They cover a wide range of topics, from play experiences and special needs to nutrition and hygiene. I think it's critical that I continue my education and brush up on my skills in order to be able to offer high-quality childcare.

My Availability
I offer childcare from 7 am – 6 pm Monday – Friday.
I can do unsociable hours, weekends, and Overnight care.
I provide breakfast, lunch, and snacks depending on the hours your child attends.
I will support you with weaning your child/bottle feeds and do my best to support any dietary requirements your child may have. Parents are welcome to bring packed lunches for their child if they want.
