Hi! My name is Sydney! I am a 26 year old from Texas who has been living in the UK for a little over a year. I just graduated with a Master’s in film studies. I have a bubbly personality and a kind-hearted spirit. When it comes to childcare, I have a very patient, but firm approach so that kids always feel heard and respected without being spoiled. I have always wanted to be a mom when I’m older and love getting the opportunity to care for others.
I don’t smoke or vape. I don’t do drugs. I only drink on occasion in social settings. I am very responsible and prefer to follow rules to the best of my ability.
My Experience
I have been babysitting for around a decade. I have experience with children between the ages of 2-8. At sixteen I babysat a 2-year-old named Lily every Wednesday. I’d pick her up from school and take care of her until her parents came home around dinner time. I’d also regularly babysit her on the weekends. Most recently, I cared for a three-year-old named Andrew who I would watch one or two nights a month when his parents would go out. I was responsible for feeding him dinner and getting him to bed.
My Qualifications
Currently, my qualifications are simply practical experience, however I would be more than willing to take any necessary courses in order to be more prepared to take care of your children.
My Availability
As I am currently looking for more permanent work, my schedule is very open at the moment. Typically the only issue would be overnights as I have a cat I need to come home to :) However, exceptions can be made if needed.
