Gemma has looked after our two year old son for the last 16 months, and we couldn't be happier - and neither could he.

A caring, devoted professional, Gemma puts us at ease and has given him - and the other children she looks after - a joy filled safe environment. Very communicative both in person and with regular updates on an app, we never feel far from knowing what our son is up to, and we don't feel like we miss out on the fun experiences he has at Gemma's.

We are routinely amazed at the development he has undergone since being with Gemma, and we put a large part of that down to the varied experiences she puts together for all the children, with regular day trips, themed activities and lots of great play time. We are absolutely certain that our son has made the emotional, social and physical leaps he has over the last year in large part due to Gemma's care.

As a person, she is attentive and caring and forms such a wonderful bond with the children she looks after. For any parent worried about saying goodbye, it very quickly became apparent that our son's favourite part of the day was arriving at Gemma's, and he is visibly excited to spend time with her, her family, the other children and her dog Gimli.

We were very worried when we selected our childcare about losing control of our son's diet, but Gemma has been excellent, providing a balanced and healthy diet which is all included within the hourly costs. We have been absolutely delighted with our childcare choice, and are delighted to have Gemma and her family as such big parts of our son's life - can't recommend her highly enough.

What a fantastic childminder!

Gemma looked after our little boy from the ages of 1.5-3.5 years. She is a truly a fantastic, kind, generous, attentive and caring woman. Her home has got everything you could ever want; a purpose built playroom, an amazing garden and all the toys and educational resources needed for all ages.
It really is a home from home set up with all the variety a nursery would have to offer.
During our little boys time with Gemma she supported him, and us, as he went through all the various stages of fun and chaos and was so caring and dedicated we could not have asked for someone better. Without her we would not have been able to navigate all the challenges that come with a bouncy toddler.
It was a real wrench when we had to say goodbye to her, but I know how much joy and love she brings to her job and am happy that there is space now for more little ones to get to know her.
Dont even hesitate, please get in touch with her if you are looking for someone amazing.

A fab childminder!

My daughter has been with Gemma for 4 years now, since she was 1 year old.

Gemma has a good rapport with the children and puts a lot of effort into finding different ways to engage and expose them to a real range of activities, such as Hobbledown, different play groups, arts and crafts and just generally getting outside. I love the way she introduces the children to a variety of different cultures, through stories, foods and crafts (Eid and Chinese New Year were my personal favourites!)

Gemma always kept me informed about different developments and achievements and what my daughter enjoyed playing with or doing. She has a great approach to discipline with the children, any issues that arise are always resolved with the child, but I was kept informed and we would also discuss this.

Gemma has been amazing as well with flexibility, particularly when it came down to late changes to shifts. When going through a tricky patch with the little one, Gemma always had a piece of advice or another technique to try, which was so appreciated! Gemma encourages good social interaction between all the children and the atmosphere at dinner time is a family one with all the children sitting together for dinner.

We were so lucky to find Gemma, as she has encouraged my daughter to build her confidence whilst also always being kind, caring and loving towards her.

My daughter settled very quickly with Gemma and has always been extremely happy to go there. Gemma’s home has always been clean, well organised, but most of all welcoming.

We’re leaving as the next chapter of school awaits us, but we are so so sad to go.

Outstanding childcare

Gemma is an outstanding childminder who has provided brilliant care for our daughter for 7 years; full time for 4 years and now does the before and after school run to Danetree Primary.
Gemma is the loveliest, caring & fun childminder who is committed to children’s development and fully adapts to every child’s needs.
Facilities include a large purpose built play room with excellent toys and educational resources.
Over the last 7 years, Gemma and her family (including Gorgeous Gandalf!) have become an extension of ours. We really couldn’t have asked for a better childminder and I would fully recommend her.

The best childminder you could ask for!

Gemma has been childminding my children (now 3 and 7) for 2 years. She is the most amazing, caring attentive and accommodating childminder we have ever had. She truly is an extension of our family and I can honestly say that our household would not be able to run as smoothly as it does without her. My kids absolutely adore her and her family (and her gorgeous, friendly dog). Gemma has an amazing understanding of children of all ages, and well as children with special needs. I would not hesitate to recommend Gemma as your childminder, she truly is the best!
