Hi! I am a 24-year-old Australian female nanny with a background in law, arts and education.
I am experienced, kind and passionate, and I have a natural ability to connect with children and enjoy helping them learn and grow in a safe environment. I have always had a passion for working with children and find it such a rewarding experience.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to music and getting outdoors, as well as spending time with family and friends. I have a strong connection with my family, and understand the value and importance of family and community.
My Experience
I have worked with children within schooling environments for over 5 years, both in Australia and the UK. After I completed my schooling in Australia, I packed up my life and moved to England. Here, I worked as a teaching assistant in a day-school where I was tasked with assisting teachers in their lessons (both in primary and secondary years), as well as with after-school club. This experience was beyond rewarding, and on my return to Australia, I worked as a teaching assistant at a local high school for four years. Here, I worked within the 'Disabled Learning Department' to provided support to children with special needs. This role was challenging as it placed these children within a mainstream schooling environment, but it taught me the value in creating a safe-space for children to learn, play and grow - no matter their age. I understand the value of what it means to be trusted and loved by children. This is furthered by my recent experience as a playworker at a local school on my return to the United Kingdom.
Outside of these formalised experiences, while I was studying I was a casual after-school nanny for a local family for a short period of time. In this role, I assisted in the completion of homework, and was tasked with creating engaging activities that combined play with learning. I also believe that my work in the legal world has equipped me with many transferrable skills and experiences.
My degrees in Law and Arts mean that I am equipped to assist children with schoolwork for children of all ages. I am a patient teacher and am dedicated to ensuring that all children understand their work through giving them the confidence that they may need to do so.
Unfortunately I do not have a car so I am unable to do school pick ups and drop offs that require a car.
My Qualifications
I have degrees in Law and Arts (Political Science and International Relations).
My Availability
Flexible but looking for 6-7 hours per day, 4 days a week. Then approximately 3 hours on Fridays.
