My Summary
About Me
I love my job- I’ve spent YEARS caring and working with young children!!! I am now very fortunate to be able to offer high-quality home-from-home childcare where children are nurtured, unhurried and are happy!
After spending many years in a nursery school class I have recently registered as a childminder. I offer care for young babies and children up to school age, as well as young school- age children in the holidays. My childcare is filled with lots of activities: indoors; making play dough, sharing books, singing. Outdoors; mud kitchen, trips to the park and in the local community such as library ‘rhyme time’ sessions and walking in the local woods!
I accept both Tax-free childcare and Funded places including the new funding for babies from age 9 months.
My Experience
I am highly qualified and experienced. I am a qualified teacher with a specialism in Early Years (0-5 years). Most recently I have qualified as a Nationally recognised Early Years Lead Teacher (NPQEYL). I am a fully qualified SENCO with first-hand experience of supporting children with SEND and their families.
I also have my own (young-ish) children so I have lots of experience as a parent too! I know how important it is to choose the right childcare and to find the ‘right’ person!! … and the worry of having to leave your precious child!
My Qualifications
NPQ Early Years Leadership (2024)
Early Years teacher Status (0-5) in Early Education & Care QTS
Full Paediatric First Aid
Makaton

Abbey has been caring for our son four days a week for 9 months now and he’s going from strength to strength. Abbey’s focus on building a nurturing, caring environment was clear from the start and my son really loves her. Every day I drop him off he runs to her for a cuddle and always wants to show me all the things he has done that day at pick up. Abbey provides term reports on how my son is developing and what they’re working on next so I can support him at home. I’ve never experienced an unhappy drop off as he’s always happy to go to Abbey’s house. Highly recommended to others looking for a nurturing environment with more one on one focus than nursery can provide.
