About Me
I run Leigh’s Honeybees Home Nursery from my home in Hoo. I registered with a childminding agency in October 2023. I have 2 young daughters - which is how I came to become a childminder, so I could work around them.
I take and collect my eldest to and from school each day , so within school hours I am able to take my little ones to either local parks, beaches , forest walks and even gymnastics sessions! I am a Kent Life member and enjoy taking the children there too.
I am able to offer a lovely outdoor space at my setting also. I encourage outdoor learning as well as child led activities every day.
My main values are keeping the children safe, happy and healthy.
I provide 3 meals a day as well as snacks too.
We have lots of fun everyday and each day is filled with lots of laughter!
My Experience
I am a mother of 2 daughters , I am an auntie to 5 nieces and nephews. All the children have given me lots of experiences with child led learning and learning through play. Every child is unique and it is important to understand each child’s needs and interests and incorporate those each and every day whilst learning new skills and participating in fun activities.
I use my previous and ongoing experiences with the children in my life to help, educate and have fun with the little ones in my setting.
My Qualifications
I am paediatric first aid trained. I am DBS checked, along with my husband. I completed all training from my childminding agency which includes safeguarding, EYFS statutory framework, food hygiene and safe sleep.
I have a 5 star food and hygiene rating from Medway Council.

We have found Leigh’s Honeybees Tiney Home Nursery in December 2023. First we have noticed a boost in his development after that every single morning his first question is if we are going to Leigh, and always a little disappointment on his face if it’s the weekend. He has definitely found his second home where he is happy and feels safe.
This was our little one’s first summer with Leigh and I have to admit that Leigh has organised more fun and better activities than us through out all the summer🤭
The smile and happinness on our little boy’s face when we take him and pick him up it’s priceless I would even drive an hour if necessary 😊
Every area it’s just spotless. Setting absolutely amazing. Child friendly and full of toys and great activity games. Very good communication and she is providing delicious food with really good variety fool of nutritions and vitamins.
We are utterly satisfied with everything that Leigh is offering to Tristan.
Leigh is doing this with all of her heart and she was really born to do this.

Being first time parents we were anxious to leave our 9 month old with someone other than our friends and family, but seeing how our daughter has settled into honey bees is lovely. Leigh is a brilliant childminder who always makes sure the children in her care are well looked after and have a great experience.
My daughter always enjoys her time at honeybees there’s always lots of fun activities planned. Whether it's taking them out to various places, or activities at home.
I would highly recommend Leigh to anyone looking for a childminder.

Leigh has looked after my girls for before and after school care. They always enjoy being cared for in the welcoming home environment. They always come excited about whatever activity they have participated in. Leigh is always patient and caring. Definitely mine and my girls first choice

Leigh has been my little boys childminder since January 24 and has been absolutely amazing. My son loves going there and has learnt so much in a short amount of time, always has a smile on his face when he sees the house. My only regret is not finding Leigh sooner.

Leigh has been childminding my daughter since she was 1 years old ( she is now 2). Leigh helped ease my anxiety over leaving her and going to work. She is very patient and understanding. I couldn’t of wished to have found a better childminder.
Leigh provides a fun and comforting environment for the children and you can see she has a genuine passion for childcare. She always has some fun , engaging activity or outing for the children and I love seeing the pictures and updates of what my daughter has been up to with Leigh. I love hearing the report of my daughters day and she is always coming home talking about the other children she has played with (including her own 2 lovely children) or with paintings and crafts they have done that day.
I’m certain that being in such a positive and happy environment is helping her develop into a confident and self assured little girl.
I would absolutely recommend Leigh as a great and reliable childminder.
