About Me
I’m 21 years old, I studied Early years and childhood studies at Manchester Metropolitan University and lived there for 3 years. I am now working as a Year 5 Teaching Assistant at a local primary school in North Shields and working towards obtaining my Qualified teacher status to become a primary school teacher.
I enjoy socialising and going to the gym multiple times a week. Since a young age I have loved music and throughout my childhood I was part of musical theatre school. Families I have worked with have told me that I have a natural ability to bond with children and am very patient and calm by nature. I am very bubbly and fun but also firm when necessary.
My Experience
I started babysitting from the age of 16 to present, I’ve babysat all ages and now working as a teaching assistant I work alongside ages 5-11. I had the opportunity to work with my older sister who ran playgroups within the Cullercoats area. This allowed me to understand health and safety, and the importance of safeguarding.
During my current job working as a teaching assistant I support with special educational needs children, and behavioural children.
These experiences have given me the opportunity of working with children on a wide age scale from teenagers to young children.
My Qualifications
GCSE in English Language, English Literature, Maths and Health and social care.
A-Levels in health and social care and English language.
Degree in Early years and childhood studies.
My Availability
Available every evening from 16:30 onwards, apart from Wednesday evening.
Also weekend availability.
