My Requirements
I am looking for nursery/childcare places from June 2025.
I am due a baby in June 2024 and planning to go back to work in June 2025.
I am looking to utilise the governments 15 hours per week free childcare from June with my child attending nursery/childminder potentially 3 days a week - tuesday, wednesday, thursday (9-5)
Then potentially increasing the days from September 2025 when the government scheme increases to 30 hours per week.
Are there any conditions to the 15 and 30 hours at your nursery/childminders, i.e. can they only be used on certain days or certain times, does it only cover term time or can you stretch it to cover the rest of the year with less hours per week? Does the child need to have so many hours paid to qualify?
Many thanks in advance.
