My Summary
About Me
My name is Lydia and I have over 9 years of teaching experience in the field of primary school education. I specialise in Phonics, Maths and English with a passion for helping children of all ages succeed in school. With my years working in the classroom, I understand the student’s needs and strive to find the best approach to boosting their grades and confidence. I’m an interactive and supportive tutor, using visual aids and modern technology to ensure the student’s needs are met and that their learning experience is both fun and informative.
In my spare time I enjoy walking my dogs, exploring new places and playing hockey. Im an outgoing person who enjoys meeting new people, visiting new places and trying different foods.
My Experience
I am a qualified and experienced primary school teacher with over nine years of experience as a primary school teacher across both KS1 and KS2. I pride myself on my ability to engage children with their learning, ensuring my lessons are both active and encouraging. When tutoring, it is important to establish a strong and positive working relationship that celebrates children's achievements. I am experienced when working with SEN children and have various approaches that I tailor to each child's needs and interests. Tutoring is incredibly rewarding in its nature, and I pride myself on building children's confidence and ensuring they achieve their potential.
I have also worked with Early Years for over 14 years and currently oversee two nurseries in Oxford, helping the with training of their staff, creating curriculum for the children and creating engaging environments.
