My Summary
About Me
Hi! My name is Nayelli, and I’m originally from Paraguay. I’ve been living in the UK for six months, currently based in Bristol. Family is super important to me and I really believe in creating a supportive environment wherever I go.
For the last two years, I’ve been working as a nanny and/or Au Pair for different, equally amazing, families and I've built a close relationship with all of them. My job was all about making sure the play was safe and fun, planning activities, and keeping things positive. I’ve also worked as a tutor, helping Spanish speakers learn English, which was so rewarding—watching someone gain confidence with a new language is such a great feeling.
In my downtime, I love reading, crocheting/knitting, and baking sweet treats (which I’d be happy to share!). Right now, I’m looking for more of a something flexible that lets me use my skills while balancing my other commitments.
If you’d like to know more or talk about any specific needs, feel free to reach out. I’d love to meet you and thank you for considering me!
My Experience
I've always had a soft spot for kids. Back in Paraguay, I was a church leader, looking after teens aged 8-15. It was a wonderful experience, creating a sense of community and looking out for each other. After that, I got into tutoring, focusing on the little ones. Helping them with their early learning journey was pretty rewarding. Now, I've worked as a nanny steadily. It's not just a job—it's a way to keep doing what I love, caring for and supporting the growth of these young minds
My Qualifications
I spent the majority of my academic years in an American school, where I learned English as my second language. While Spanish is my native tongue, the immersive environment really helped me become fluent. I'm currently pursuing a degree in International Relations at university. I’ve also tutored kids in both English and Spanish, tailoring lessons to their needs and helping them gain confidence in both languages. In addition to my nanny and tutoring roles, I’ve worked as an English medical interpreter, helping bridge communication gaps in healthcare.
My Availability
In terms of expectations, I find that working within a structured framework helps me thrive. Having set hours provides clarity and allows for effective planning. While I do have a preference for structure, I am also flexible and open to working collaboratively with the family to determine the most suitable times and routines. Clear communication and mutual understanding are key to contributing to a positive and productive environment for everyone.
