Welcome to Tan's Tiney Home Nursery!

About my Tiney Home
We are set in the beautiful village of Diggle, surrounded by hills, rivers, canals, railway, forests, fields, animals and lots of opportunities to get messy and explore! It's the kind of place where you don't just read 'We're going on a bear hunt' we get on our wellies and find that mud!
Children at my setting are offered excellent learning based play, where we play so hard they don't know they are learning! I am passionate about gaining the best outcomes for all children in my care, I offer high quality interaction, guidance and activities to help children with all their development needs. The children in my care can also be offered healthy home cooked meals and snacks.
I offer full time, flexible, year round care for children under the age of 5 and offer wrap around care for school age children attending Diggle Primary School. I aim to meet the needs of the families I work with and can discuss individual needs to see if I can accommodate.
Working in partnership with parents is my number one priority so that together we can help your child to thrive!
I am a mother, my own child who will be one by February 2024 will be in the setting with us. I have lived in Diggle for a lot of my life, attended Diggle primary school myself so I am knowledgeable about the local area.
We also have a two year old black Labrador called Bennie at our setting. He's a bouncy puppy so his interactions with the children will be limited and controlled.
My Experience
From leaving school my education and work have been child focused meaning my knowledge of child development is strong. My main area of work has been in child protection giving me valuable skills in caring for and working with children. I am passionate about giving children the very best start in life, helping them develop in all areas, paying particular attention to their sense of self, identity, feelings and emotions.
My Qualifications
I have a BA in social work studies which includes child development and Ms in Social work
My Availability
Flexible year round care. Four weeks holiday per year. Unpaid holiday on the 21st May every year.

We are open year round, two weeks paid and two weeks unpaid holiday will be taken per year. We will also be closed every year on the 21st May
