About Me
Hi Families!
* I have over 30 years experience in nannying and childcare, having looked after children from 1yrs old. I also have experience caring for twins, loving recognising their individualism and identities .
* I have a wealth of experience caring for children with special educational needs and disabilities, which is something I am very passionate about!
* I am a kind, fun, positive, and enthusiastic person, and love working in childcare, seeing children progress and develop and knowing you helped them on their journeys is a very special job to do!
*I have an NVQ 3 in Childcare and Education, a clean driving licence, montessori on the job training, and an enhanced DBS check. I also have a 12 hour paediatric first aid qualification.
* I have a lot of experience working on plans to help children develop from professionals like speech therapists , occupational therapists, physiotherapists.
*I am offering summer holiday availability on selected dates, and would like to offer families my nanny or babysitting services . I look forward to meeting you and your children!
*I have lived in Dorset all my life, and love taking children out to experience everything this beautiful area has to offer, like going to the beach and paddling in the sea, having picnics , going to the woods, the parks, or out in their gardens to do gardening, and would also be happy to take children to baby/ childcare groups. I love creative activities, so lots of paint, and sensory play are a must too!
* I am very happy around animals in the home, especially cats!
*I feel so lucky to have looked after so many amazing children over the years, and can't wait to meet your family too!!
My Experience
* I have worked as a private live in nanny, looking after children aged 1yrs old to 10, between Dorset and London. Activities included lots of walks, craft, and time together baking, and learning through play.
*I have been a daily live out nanny to one child. Activities included taking the child swimming, out for visits in the local area, playdates with friends, and I also helped prepare the child for school, working on promoting their independence and confidence too.
* I have worked in Nurseries too, where I have held the roles of the Vice principal, and the Special Educational needs and Disabilities Co ordinator, which have both been very rewarding roles. I have also worked on a 1-1 basis with children on specific plans. I love sharing a child's achievements with their families, and am good at noticing those wonderful small progressions that children make, and love celebrating them!
* I can sign (mackaton), and have worked on specific language/ social communication programmes like PEIC D , and Total communication.
* I am at present with a fantastic family, nannying for two children.
