About Me
Welcome! My name is Victoria and I run a Hygge approach childcare setting.
Hygge- A Danish word used to acknowledge a feeling or moment as cosy, charming or special. It's a space that promotes emotional wellbeing, togetherness and friendship. A place where children can feel comfortable, snuggle down or explore with confidence.
Nature is so important and something children should experience everyday. We love visiting our local community and exploring green spaces and then come home to a cosy blanket and hot chocolate in my home from home environment followed up by an afternoon of baking and togetherness.
We value outdoor play as children love to explore nature and bring it back to the setting for continued learning. Here their imagination will grow with access to a rich, continuous environment full of open ended resources.
I value our families and believe it's important for you to feel apart of our days so we set up WhatsApp chats where parents can check in and see lots of photos of what we've been up to. We also use this space to share your child's developmental progress so you are up to speed with their next steps and milestones by following the EYFS (same framework as nurseries)

My Experience
I have experience with babies from newborn onwards including twins and have seen lots of children grow from babies and through school.
I can provide references from parents which we are very proud of if you decide to come and meet me and view our setting.

Victoria has been our childminder for a while as well as another family members.
I could not be happier, we are always kept up to date with what the children are doing, eating etc which eases anxiety of leaving your child with someone.
The children are always doing an activity, craft or outdoors. My little boy loves Victoria and it’s so comforting that he is happy to go to her of a morning and is always happy when i collect him.
I can not thanks Victoria enough for helping my little boy develop.

I’ve been in touch with Victoria since a few months and waited patiently and asked a number of times when I could get a visit scheduled and I’d told her I was really keen to get a space as soon as possible. I arranged a visit quite far in advance and was extremely keen on getting my little one a spot and even agreed to doing two days even though I originally only wanted one day. That was because Victoria wanted a minimum of two days.
I was given a slot at her convenience and the night before was sent a message saying there are no spaces available. It was a really unfair process and you’d think if someone has been looking and been in touch for that long it would be a much fairer process and not based on someone coming to visiting a day before. Especially considering if I’d been given the opportunity I would have visited earlier too. I planned to visit when Victoria had asked.
So now we’ve been left stranded again in finding another childcare provider.

I apologise for any inconvenience.
When running a childcare setting, it can be difficult to organise a mutually agreeable date and time that causes minimal disruption to the setting and children.
Unfortunately, due to demand and business requirements, the space was taken by a prior viewing.
I wish you the best of luck with your search for a childcare provider.
Lesley & Tori are very bubbly and chirpy people. They made my daughter and myself feel very at home in their setting and it was such a lovely feeling as a parent to be able to send my child to someone and go off to work without a worry. She had lots of fun with both Lesley & Tori and came on leaps & bounds in their care. I would reccomend them to any parent without a doubt. Truely lovely people, I cant thank you enough for what you have done for my daughter and my family.
