I'm at 33 year old mum of two (G13,B6) I live in Hemel Hempstead with my children, fiancé and our chocolate Labrador George.
My Experience
I studied Child development at school, then went on to do my level 3 in childcare and education in college. Throughout college I gained a lot of experience in different placements such as primary schools, private day nurseries and a preschool. The day I passed my college course in 2009 I was approached by the preschool manager and asked to interview for a practitioners position and I was successful.
I remained at the preschool for 6 years then left as I found a cleaning job closer to home which, at the time, was a better fit for my circumstances as a young mother. I then fell pregnant with my son and took some time away from work to concentrate on his upbringing but in this time I did some volunteering as a "early start worker" for my local family center.
When my son was ready to start school I returned to the preschool and within 3 months of I was made room leader of the preschool room which has children aged 2-3 years.
