About Me
Calm-space Childminding is a new childminding service based in West Looe. I provide a calm-space for children, where they can slow down and live in the moment. I aim to nurture a sense of themselves, and their place within our beautiful world. I encourage children to wonder and to experiment; to discover new skills and problem-solve with confidence. I aim to provide a space where children can follow their own interests, and to be interested and inspired by the interests of their friends.
We will explore and enjoy walks in the woods and along the beach and take regular trips to places of interest. At home we take time to discover and enjoy different toys, activities and play, both indoors and out.
My Experience
I have over 20 years of experience working within childcare and educational settings, often working one-to-one with children with SEND. I am also a mother of 3 children, 2 of which have flown the nest, and my 10 year old who is still at home.
My Qualifications
My qualifications include:
NVq3 Early Years Care and Education
FdA (with Distinction) in Counselling Studies
L2 Certificate in Understanding Children and Young Peoples Mental Health
L3 Award in Paediatric First Aid
L2 Food Hygiene and Safety
