My Approach: I am a kind-hearted and patient person, an artist, crafter and a keen gardener. I like to give children opportunities to walk and spend time in nature, as well as offer art, craft and free play opportunities with beautiful natural and wooden toys. I have an eco aware approach, using non toxicity cleaning materials and repurposing waste to make lovely new things such as making plant pot covers with collage on used drinks cartons.

Settling: I offer setting visits, parent and child sessions and stay and play sessions for you to get to know the space, for the child and I to connect so that the first session can be a joy. We can also arrange a home visit should you wish.

We have adapted our home with a purpose built garden with professional playground equipment, which we were given and installed after the Brighton Waldorf School closed. We also have a covered outdoor play and craft area, veg beds gardening and play areas. We have natural wooden toys and hand crafted dolls. The provision will take the best of my Steiner Waldorf Kindergarten approach, add respectful care and a fun and patient approach. Plus nature walks and movement opportunities and indoor and outdoor free play=a recipe for a fun childhood. Children learn when they are having fun.
If you do not yet know Waldorf Education, it allows children to enjoy childhood, though free-play, songs, stories, outdoor adventures and seasonal crafts.

We have three cats. I care about healthy nutrition for children. When we bake we use organic ingredients and the children model using the bread dough. I use organic ingredients when possible when I cook.

We grow some of our own food including vegetables, herbs and edible flowers!

Under my guidance, we were awarded 4 awards: the Stars Early Years Establishment of the Region Award (South East Area) and the National Stars Early Establishment of the Year Awards for 2020-21 & 2021-22.

I apply eco- friendly principles to my groups at home, reducing, reusing and reducing waste, and connecting children with the garden, growing food and with nature.
