About Me
I am at the end of my second year at the University of Strathclyde studying marketing and entrepreneurship. I am a hard working, committed individual and strive to do my best in any opportunity I am presented with. This has been an interest of mine since school and I hope to one day work in either digital marketing or social media management. I am a Christian and attend a baptist church in Glasgow where I am an active member on the kids team where I lead the primary and pre-school groups.
In my free time, I am a keen gym-goer and try to go about 6 days a week. I love spending time outside doing activities and spending time in nature. I have a passion for baking and cooking and enjoy eating healthily (most of the time!). I love to be creative and enjoy doing art and crafts such as drawing, journaling and jewellery making. I have a great group of friends who I spend lots of time with, especially travelling and exploring new places. I passed my driving test 2 years ago and I am a confident driver however do not have my own car and rely on public transport.
I love being around kids and learn so much from them on their outlook and excitement about everyday life. I hope to build close relationships with any children that I meet so that they may feel safe and comfortable to be themselves around me.
My Experience
Over the past five years, I have accumulated extensive experience working with children across a diverse age range, from one-year-olds to high schoolers (18 years old). My involvement in church kids groups has allowed me to take on leadership roles, organizing and overseeing various activities for groups of children. Additionally, I have assumed leadership positions at Scripture Union camps, where I've worked with children of different ages, taking on increased responsibilities during weekend retreats when the children are away from home.
My expertise extends to caring for children with additional support needs (ASN), particularly those with autism and ADHD. I have received training and gained practical experience in providing support for children facing these challenges. Over several years, I have independently cared for a family friend with complex needs, and I have access to resources that can benefit children with ASN.
A significant portion of my experience comes from volunteering with the charity SHIP in Perth. This organization focuses on supporting children and young people with a wide range of ASN. Through this involvement, I have received training in supervising young children, administering first aid, offering speech and language support, and developing activities that promote children's overall development.
Furthermore, I possess babysitting experience, having worked with families with young children (2-4 years old) as well as primary-age children (5-12 years old)

My Availability
As I am a student my availability varies throughout the week however from April 26th onwards my availability is a lot more open and I am available Monday-Saturday every week apart from holidays.
