About Me
I’m a reliable, calm and friendly person who enjoys the rewarding nature of working with children. I enjoy reading, cooking and taking my dog for long walks exploring the local area. In my role as a primary school teacher, I am especially interested in English and Personal Development, and have recent implemented our school’s Personal Development Curriculum.
My Experience
I am a qualified primary school teacher and have worked in primary schools since 2018. I have taught in reception and am confident in teaching phonics and early reading. I have also taught subjects across the curriculum in Key Stage 1 and 2, and have supported year 6 pupils preparing for their SATs for two years now. Prior to being a teacher, I was a teaching assistant, worked as a healthcare assistant in Bristol Children’s Hospital and as a babysitter in the UK and for a family in Spain.
My Qualifications
I have a foundation degree in Teaching and Learning, and a BA in Professional Practice (Education). I gained Qualified Teacher Status after completing my Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship (PGTA).
As a teacher, I undertake yearly safeguarding training.
I am in the process of updating my paediatric first aid certificate.
My Availability
I am available most evenings and weekends. I have some availability during school holidays.
