Little Munchkins Childminding services.
I have been a childminder since 2011 and a mother for 22 years. I provide quality home from home childcare in our family home. I care for children from birth to 12years. I live with my husband and our two children aged 19& 22 in a quiet Cul-De- Sac in Woodville. I am creative, active and enjoy watching the children develop new skills and flourish. We have a large garden and enjoy out door activities to suit all ages. I organise lots of crafts & activities to promote and stimulate all areas of a child's development.
I also like to take children out in the fresh air for walks and often visit parks, farms, libraries , a variety of soft play and toddler venues. Being part of a local childminding network we frequently meet so the children can experience different environments and have plenty of interaction with children of different ages and stages
My Experience
I have lots of experience in caring for children being a mum myself . I have experience working as a childminder for 12years , in a nursery and have looked after many of my friends and families children of all ages before I became a childminder. I have gained lots of qualifications, experience and understanding over the years and had great pleasure in running a small creche for a local charity. I have also worked in the past as a family support worker supporting families with children of all ages. I have an array of experience around all aspects of childcare, especially child protection & under fives. I have worked closely with families teaching parenting skills and supporting all members of the family. I also attend many training courses to further identify and fulfil the children's needs.
My Qualifications
I hold all relevant qualifications and ongoing training to work within SDDC guidelines and above, including NVQ in childcare, Level 3 in Teaching and education, Level 3 Paediatric first aid; safeguarding; internet safety and many more. Please ask for more information.
My Availability
Please call me to get up to date availability.
Daycare Monday - Friday 8.00 am - 5.30
I also provide before and after school care and can drop off and collect from Blackfordby school.
Emergency Cover/ Short term care, occasional childcare cover ( e.g. inset days, bad weather, school closure etc can be arranged if I have a space available.
I do offer sessions with no contracts, no fixed hours for one off fee's please call for availability and prices.

Both of my children have been with Katrina over the past 5 years. I have always been extremely happy with the care she has provided them with.
Katrina is such a lovely caring person and it has been such a great help to find someone that I can trust to help with childcare whilst I work.
Thank you so much for providing my kids with a friendly happy environment before and after school and for taking great care of them.
Definitely recommend this lovely childminder xx

Ollie went to katrina’s for just under two years and it was the best experience for him. He adored her and he came on so much in the time he went there. I would highly recommend katrina.

My husband and I didn't want our son - Almost 5 - going back to nursery since Lockdown, but felt he would greatly benefit from being in a smaller bubble' with children of a similar age before he began school.
After such a long time with us over the last few months we were worried how he would take to being away from us and our routines etc, but after just one morning there our son was so excited to be going back the next day. He made new friends, and always came home eager to tell us all about their adventures and trips. We couldn't have been happier with the outstanding care provided.
At such an uncertain time to then have such complete certainty in our sons happiness and well-being it was wonderful. The setting is brilliant. This childminder went above and beyond being creative with the children and provided them a massive variety of experiences and opportunities to be young, happy safe and extremely well cared for. We would highly recommend and will definitely be back for the Holidays...if there is space 😊

I must say it was an absolute pleasure caring for your son. he's lovely
We had some lovely adventures, made some lovely creations and above all had fun.

My 2 girls aged 7 and 12 have been going to Little Munchkins childminder since January of this year. They both love going to their childminder after school and are never in a hurry to leave. They are always chatting about what they have been doing and are extremely happy there, I couldn't ask for more. It is a such a relief to know my children are in a happy and safe enviroment while I am at work. I would highly recommend this childminder to everyone, in fact I do regularly.
