Hi! My name is Lauren and I’m 26 years old with 5 years of experience as a classroom assistant. I also have 5 years experience of working in a play-based afterschools setting. I am starting my PGCE in September to be a primary school teacher. I love everything creative, the outdoors and music. I loved my time as a classroom assistant and being a shoulder to lean on and a caregiver for children of all ages.
My Experience
I have worked in a classroom 1:1 with children from P2-P7 and have an intricate understanding of the varying needs of children and responsibilities of being a caregiver to children at primary level. In my afterschools role, I learnt how to facilitate the different types of fundamental play and how they are crucial for development of children.
My Qualifications
2:1 undergraduate degree in Geography with Education
First Aid trained
Level 3 Playwork
My Availability
Before I start my PGCE I am available all weekday mornings and afternoons (apart from weeks beginning 5th and 12th of August due to a mandatory PGCE summer school) and will be available on weekends once I start the PGCE from 27th August. I will also be available during school half terms etc.
