About Me
Hello! My name is Amanda and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder rated Outstanding in March 2019. We have welcomed families to our home for the past 14 years and I aim to provide a home from home experience for your child, with freshly cooked meals and a fun, relaxed setting to give the best possible care whilst under my supervision. Facilities include a large lounge, kitchen/diner and dedicated play area. We have an enclosed garden to play, with grass and patio so it is used in all weathers! The children enjoy playing football and getting the sand, water and bubbles out in the garden, along with investigating the mini-beasts they find. We have a dedicated children’s fruit and vegetable patch and the children love to sow seeds and learn how to nurture their plants. We live directly opposite our local Recreation ground so will often visit after school and during the daytime. Our 2 sons attend St. Bede’s School and my husband is a Secondary School teacher in Sutton.
My Experience
We love the outdoors and enjoy regular excursions to Priory Farm to discover the wildlife and absolutely love the nature trail. Priory Park and Walton on the Hill duck pond are also firm favourites. We love to bake I enjoy helping the children to create and decorate cakes to take home.

Finding Amanda to provide childcare for my 1 year old 5 years ago, was so special! My daughter has thrived in her care and build long lasting relationships with the other lovely children in Amanda’s care. Amanda’s kind, loving, caring and outdoorsy nature along with the home from home childcare is in my opinion 10/5! We are blessed to have her in our lives and my daughter, albeit is at full time school now, so loves to go to Amanda’s to catch up with Amanda and the children during half terms and school holidays.

I have had the pleasure of having Amanda care for my son for the last 4.5 years and my daughter since she was 1 (she’s now nearly 4). From the very beginning, Amanda has been a wonderful caregiver. She is caring, kind, and has a natural, loving nature that shines through in everything she does. She shows the same level of love and dedication to the children she looks after as she does her own.
Amanda’s home and garden are both child-friendly and well-equipped, providing a safe and stimulating environment. She also takes the children on regular excursions to local parks, discovery walks, soft play areas, National Trust sites, and garden centres with children’s events—always offering new and exciting experiences for them to enjoy.
Amanda has also been a great help with my older son, supporting him with his reading, spelling, and homework. She’s provided gentle guidance and encouragement, which has made a positive difference in his learning. She’s also given my preschool daughter invaluable support with writing, phonics, and developing her gross and fine motor skills.
It’s clear that my children feel so comfortable and happy in Amanda’s care—my daughter often asks to go to Amanda’s house when we are home, which is a testament to the warm, nurturing environment she provides.
I highly recommend Amanda to any parent looking for a caring, educational environment where their child will not only be loved but will also receive a solid foundation to prepare them for school.

Thank you so much Maria. I cannot tell you how privileged I feel to care for Freddie and Lucie. I am so lucky to be part of their lives and have loved seeing them grow and change and hope I can help support you all along in their journey.
Amanda was amazing with my son, Seb, from day 1 (and me, I needed lots of reassuring!) She is kind, caring, and has made every effort to get to know my son and his needs, likes, character etc.
Amanda does an amazing range of activities in and out of the house and we always hear lots of stories from Seb about all the fun he's been having.
He has come on so well developmentally in terms of motor and social skills, language etc, and Amanda has played a huge part in that.
We feel so lucky to have found Amanda and would recommend her 100% to anyone.

Amanda looked after my baby and older primary age son, as soon as I met Amanda I knew I could trust her and we felt very comfortable with her.
She has a lovely home with so much for the children to do and I loved that she did a lot of outdoor activities which my sons loved.
She did lots of days out and park visits. She gave me lots of mum advice aswell which is lovely.
I’ve recommended Amanda to quite a few mums that I know.

Amanda has been providing childcare for my daughter from 2yrs old until she started school. She continues to go during school holidays. My daughter absolutely loves it in there and really feels included in her family life. She enjoys her two sons' company and her husband's, who all include the children in activities. She has experienced a wide range of activities including gardening, cooking, crafts, outings and visits the parks. There is always an educational element in activities undertaken. My daughter learnt so much and her speech and language improved immensely. The setting is a beautiful family home and colourful garden with all child safety measures in place.
My daughter continues to talk about Amanda and her family even though she is at school. I cannot think of a more wonderful childcare experience for my daughter.
I highly recommend Amanda.

Amanda has been looking after our Son and Daughter. Before I knew we needed a childminder I met Amanda and could see that love children and what she does. Amanda cares for all of the children as if they were her own and that is exactly what I was looking for.
Amanda has a very kind, calm & nurturing manner, she is extremely experienced and we have had absolute confidence in her caring for our children.
Amanda's house is well equipped for a variety of activities and play and they are taken out to the park/playground. Amanda is always thinking of ways to stimulate the children and help them at their individual level. She is extremely supportive not only to the children but to us as parents too, she is always happy to help and provides support and guidance when needed. Amanda has great communication skills and has been able to be flexible when we needed it.
We consider Amanda our friend and it is like a member of the family looking after our children. On days the the children were not due to be at Amanda's they would be disappointed (which speaks volumes).
We are so happy that we found Amanda and have absolute confidence in her, knowing that our children are happy and well cared for. Amanda's husband and children are equally wonderful in including and making the children feel at home.
We have absolute trust in Amanda and can highly recommend her.

Amanda has been looking after my son for almost 2 years now (since he was 5 months old) and I am so thankful that I found her!
I had seen a number of potential local childminders but felt Amanda’s calm and nurturing nature was a perfect fit for my son.
Her home is clean and accommodating for the children. As my son was very little, I was naturally a bit apprehensive leaving him with a childminder. However, after meeting Amanda, I felt completely confident that she would be able to look after him well during all of his growing stages (weaning, crawling, cruising, waking, running & jumping!!!) and provide him with lots of cuddles.
My son is very content at being left with Amanda and has fabulous times on their little outings. He has made some lovely friends. He is now a very confident little boy.
I also feel that Amanda has a good level of resources to keep the children entertained and provides the children with fresh air (park/garden/outings) whenever the opportunity arises. She ensures that her care diary is kept up to date. She is also flexible which is very helpful as I have an older child. She always has a delightful smile and is very considerate.
I would not hesitate to recommend her to family and friends who were considering childminding services. She honestly is the best!

Amanda has been looking after our little boy for two years now.
We are very happy with the childminding service that she provides and completely confident in her - there is never any need for us to worry when apart from him, as we know that he is in safe hands with her.
He is always happy and content when I collect him at the end of the day and is very chatty when he has spent the day with her.
I previously recommended Amanda to one of my friends and I believe that this speaks volumes regarding our opinion of Amanda.

Amanda has been looking after my two children for nearly 3 years now and we consider Amanda to be part of our family. Amanda has been brilliant with them, doing different activities, outside and in, teaching them, getting them to try new things, encouraging them and looking after them as if they are her own. Amanda has two older boys who my children look up to and they are equally fantastic.
When I met Amanda I instantly knew that I could trust her with my children- I cannot rate her highly enough.
