Hey everyone!
My name is Becca, I am 20….nearly 21 from Nottinghamshire! I have worked in schools/childcare since leaving sixth form! I specialise in children with behavioural and SEN needs- which is the current position I hold in the SEMH therapeutic school I work in currently. Although I love working in schools, I am keen to take the knowledge and skills that I have learnt in my jobs/experience snd start my new chapter!
Some general facts about me! I love animals, especially cats and dogs. My favourite activity is baking and cooking- specially baking! I’ve been told I’m basically a younger Mary Berry! I am quick thinking and love to find new ways and ideas to incorporate and encourage learning and development in most activities.
My Experience
My experience is very much all over the place! When initially leaving sixth form; I worked for a year in my old school tutoring the year 11’s for their English exams! I then went on to being a SEN teaching assistant, where I accompanied my key student to her lessons! After this I went on to working in a therapeutic school- where let me tell you….no day is the same. I had to learn how to be quick thinking, risk assess and provide activities that could keep the children engaged throughout their school day. In this job, we took the children offsite and provided them with opportunities that they may not have in their home lives. On and off on the side I have babysat for family friends- which is where my experience comes into play!
