About Me
I am a 20 year old girl currently studying Planning, regeneration and development in Ulster university in Belfast. I am currently a part-time lifeguard at Omagh leisure centre, this job as provided me with up to date and regular first aid training as well as helping me develop the skills needed when being faced with any first aid issues. I am someone who loves to keep active and be out and about seeing and learning all about the world. I have 2 younger brothers as well as a dog. I am the oldest in my family so am often put in charge when needed.
My Experience
I have had lots of different experiences working with children of all ages, for example I have worked within the Omagh and Fermanagh council summer schemes for the last 3 years and plan to do the same this year. This summer scheme helped me learn and understand how to organise and and run larger groups of children as well as helping me understand how to build connections with the children and helping them come to o their comfort zones. Last year is also voluntarily worked within the ERC summer camp which is a charity put in place to provide underprivileged children within our local community with a fulfilling and eventful summer. Before starting uni I volunteered within my swimming club the Strule Dolphins for 3 years, coaching and helping run the swimming lessons for the younger swimmers of the club helping them develop their techniques as well as always ensure they are having fun. Lastly I have grown up as the designated babysitter within the family, I am the oldest on both sides with a total of 6 younger family members currently ranging from the ages of 1-10, I have help my family babysitting since their were newborns, which has help me develop all the sills needed for this role.
